According to many, Gerard Joling is an incredibly sympathetic man, but he is now starting to look more and more like his mooring image Barry Manilow. Is his new face now finished? “Not yet.”
The viewer is waiting tonight a startling episode of Gerard Jolings TV soap Only Joling, because the whole country will witness how the singer goes under the knife for a six-hour operation in which he lets his eyes, neck and face lift. We saw the result of the week at his birthday party. Or is this not the result yet?
Healing
After contact Geer’s management, Aran Bade states that his face is not yet completely finished. “He still seems to be healing. It is not yet completely ready,” he says in RTL Boulevard.
While things are still hardening a bit, Geer can just go on the street again. “He had to remove almost six weeks before from his agenda. He went on stage again after three weeks.”
Aran is startled
Aran himself is a bit shocked. “I am really shocked by this. I was at that party too and we stood with Gerard for a moment and then you go and have a look of: what did you do? I had the feeling for the first time: it looks like Madame Tussauds, you know. Because he is so stated there.”
He continues: “I just spoke to management and they were really a bit shocked. They advised him not to do it. It is not without risks either. That operation took six hours at Joost Staudt.”
Capital
Aran thinks Geer should be careful. “Of course there is a capital on Gerard Joling. The moment he starts renovating his entire face, I also think that if we find it too extreme and if even Patty Brard is shocked, that you have done something of: guys, what are we going to get for performances now?”
Geer’s management was against the operation, just as his mother was always. “He also concealed it for housekeeper Roos, because he is dead that things go wrong with her good boyfriend.”
Geer has indicated for the time being that he will no longer undergo new treatments, except for a hair transplant.
