Prussia Münster lives! The team of new coach Christian Pander won their away game at the 1st FC Magdeburg 5-0 (3-0). Host Magdeburg falls apart on the square and in the promotion battle.
Goals by Jorrit Hendrix (12th) and double packer Marc Lorenz (15th and 43rd) Münster brought the lead comfortably in the first half. After the break, Joshua Mees increased to 4: 0 (52nd) with a Schlenzer. Just two minutes later, the 1,700 Prussia fans juited again: Daniel Kyerewaa had shot the 5-0.
Ascent candidate Magdeburg fell to fourth place due to the defeat with simultaneous victory of Paderborn. Münster at least initially conquered the relegation place 16 and is currently two points behind Braunschweig on the first non -relegation place.
Demand for Mood change fulfilled
Münster’s new coach Pander had complained during the week: “The mood has to get better, it was too negative for me.” In this respect, he was quite satisfied in Magdeburg after 15 minutes at the latest. First Jorrit Hendrix Münster headed the lead after a cross from Marc Lorenz, then Lorenz himself went one step further with a left -hand shot in the lower left corner. After the 2-0, the mood among the guests reached an early highlight.
Lorenz particularly became a mood: how much the 36-year-old captain turned to this Friday evening, he showed shortly after his first goal with a long-range shot from 40 meters. Magdeburg’s goalkeeper Dominik Reimann had stood too far in front of his goal, but the ball passed the goal to the left.
Lorenz goes one step further
And Magdeburg? The shock put the FCM kickers deep in the bone. The team, which was actually so safe, made too many wrong decisions and made too many bad passes. An example of both gave the 24th minute. Finally Alexander Nollenberger came to the baseline and flanked in the middle. His half -high passport was difficult to assess goal scorer Martijn Kaars, tried to take him with his foot instead of heading and finally completely missed him.
As a result, Münster Magdeburg left the ball and lurked on counterattack. In the 40th minute, the nimble Kyerewaa broke through on the right. Nollenberger could only stop him with a foul. Lorenz again converted the due penalty to the 3-0 lead for Münster.
Münster knows no mercy
Although FCM trainer Titz changed twice at the break, the game continued exactly as it stopped. The completely unsettled Magdeburgers played unclean and Münster punished them. Silas Gnaka scored his teammate Abu-Bekir el-Zein in the 52nd minute when trying a short pass. So the ball from Etienne Amenyido to Mees, who fled into the goal from a good forty meters over the rising Reimann.
After all, the Magdeburg fans had little time to be annoyed by this serious mistake. Two minutes after the 4: 0 there was the next goal to admire. Amenyido’s shot was only able to let Reimann hit. Instead of clarifying the free ball, all FCM defenders watched the fifth goal of the evening to score.
Then flattened out the game. Magdeburg tried to continue playing football despite the hopeless deficit, but continued to create no risk of scoring. After all, the blue and white fans held their team and sang their love for FCM until the final whistle.
