Sweetlove taught at various academies at home and abroad. The exhibition now is also a kind of indictment.
“It is time for us to think a bit about what is happening now and Reilt and Sail in Art. There is so much offer. We are actually with an oversupply of street art and such things, also cheap copies. Everywhere you see Brigitte Bardot or Marilyn Monroe with a drop and a splash.”
Sweetlove calls this a Renaissance, a rebirth, the artists have to prove nothing, because they already did that.
“This is, for example, work by Nina Kozelj from Slovenia, a young talent of 40 years and he has worked to portray a dead dinosaur and they are then eaten in itself in evolution.”
The Oostduinkerk artist himself has made international name and fame with his enlarged figures in plastic in recent years, often also in the public space.
