Where does Thomas Müller change? This is still one of the most exciting questions in German football. A club from the US west coast should already have a plan.
After the current season, football star Thomas Müller will leave FC Bayern Munich. Wherever the 2014 world champion is going is still open.
A club is already positioning itself: Los Angeles FC. The US team, which cooperates with Bayern, is said to be very interested in the 35-year-old offensive all-rounder-and apparently wants to convince him of a change with some extras.
In the podcast “Bayern Insider” “Bild” football chief Christian Falk and chief reporter Tobias Altschäffl reported on the details. Accordingly, a house in the noble town of Beverly Hills is under discussion, about 30 minutes from the training area. The club’s stadium is located in Downtown Los Angeles.
Altschäffl explained that Müller may have to show exactly what a life in LA means. Because it was not easy for Urbayern to imagine a life outside of Munich.
Another argument could come from the world of basketball: Lakers legend Magic Johnson, co-owner of LAFC since 2014. Falk pointed out that Müller was a big fan of sport and had his own box with the Bayern basketball players. Contact with Johnson could therefore be an additional incentive.
Jochen Sauer also plays a role in the efforts around Müller. The managing director of “Red & Gold” – a joint talent promotion project by Bayern and LAFC – has already shown the offensive player a presentation about the project.
Altschäffl emphasized that the USA, as a sports nation, is becoming increasingly important to football. In the coming year, the country will also be co -organizers of the World Cup.
Major League Soccer (MLS) absolutely wanted to hire Müller. It should become the figurehead of the league.
