Self -employed people now receive more pension, but do not pay higher social contributions: “This puts the system under pressure”

The previous government considerably increased the pensions of the self -employed four years ago. The result is that they now come more close to the pensions of wage passengers. But the self -employed still pay the same lower social contributions. “In the long term, that is not a good idea,” warns Wouter de Tavernier, pension expert at the OECD. “It would fit within the agenda of the Arizona government to do something about it.”
