Muheim returns to HSV training

Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. In the New sticker on T-Online you will find all the important messages about the “red pants”.
Hamburger SV hopes for the return of defender Miro Muheim in the promotion race of the 2nd Bundesliga. Three weeks after his muscle fiber tear in the calf, the Swiss international was once again again with the team on the training ground on Wednesday.
HSV has remained without a win since the 26-year-old’s failure. Against Braunschweig (2: 4), Schalke (2: 2) and Karlsruhe (1: 2), the team only scored one point. On Saturday (1 p.m./Sky) at Bundesliga relegated Darmstadt 98, Muheim could be back in the squad.
The HSV sets the course for the season finale of the second division – and apparently also thinks of the case of a missed ascent. Should Merlin Polzin make the leap into the Bundesliga with the team, the 34-year-old is in front of the end of the “Sport Bild” as head coach.
Lukas Kwasniok from SC Paderborn is considered the possible successor. The 43-year-old, who leaves the East Westphalia after the end of the season, has been on the list of Hamburgers for a long time. The HSV was already interested in an obligation last winter, but the change failed due to the transfer fee: According to media reports, Paderborn had asked for one million euros.
Kwasniok would be cheaper this summer. According to the magazine, a transfer would be due in the “high six -digit range”.
After the third winless game in a row, the fear of the failure in the promotion race at the HSV is about the fear of renewed failure. But board boss Stefan Kuntz does not want to know anything about Actionism among the Hamburgers. “We start as normal as possible. This is a normal challenge that everyone can stand in the way of working life every day,” said Kuntz on Monday in a media round after training.
On Sunday, the HSV lost 1-2 against Karlsruher SC, especially in the second half, the players seemed paralysis. Hamburg still has three points three points before the end of the season as the second in the table. FC Magdeburg in third place and also has the significantly better goal difference.
This is also why those responsible do not plan a short training camp or other special dimensions. “What is very important to me: We are not victims, but we are the ones who have the booklet of action in hand. That must be the benchmark,” said Kuntz. “If we look in the mirror after the next three games, then the reflection must tell us that we have torn our ass open and put everything.”
Trainer Merlin Polzin also receives backing. “The coaches are great in the analysis, I have hardly seen anything better,” said Kuntz. HSV is a guest at SV Darmstadt 98 on Saturday.
The HSV has been waiting for a win for three games. In the Volkspark, the unrest is slowly growing. But the club is still on a promotion course – and should keep calm. A quick shot like a trainer release would be the wrong signal, comments T-online editor Florian Boldt. Read here what advice he has for the HSV and sports director Stefan Kuntz.
The HSV women can move back to the 1st Bundesliga after 13 years. After the 1-1 win against Ingolstadt, the Marwin Bolz team has four points ahead of the fourth -tableled SV Meppen – with three outstanding games.
So that the Hamburg women can celebrate the promotion early, an away win at the leaders’ 1. FC Nürnberg is mandatory on Saturday (kick -off 1 p.m.). If Meppen then loses VfL Bochum (2 p.m.) on Sunday, HSV would have seven points ahead – but Meppen could only catch up six points.
Even with a tie between Meppen and Bochum, the HSV women would be in a comfortable position in their own victory: Then they would have six points ahead and the significantly better goal difference (currently: +29 to +13), which would decide with the same point.
