JC Switzerland Holding has a new boss.

Stefano Della Valle becomes the new board of directors and CEO of the Holding of the Peek & Cloppenburg Group, JC Switzerland Holding announced on Wednesday. In his new function, Della Valle is intended to continue the growth of the group and work closely with the management team in order to strengthen the company sustainably.

Della Valle competes in the fashion industry in a period of profound changes. According to the company, he should lead the group in a future -oriented manner through the structural change and ensure that Peek & Cloppenburg remains at the top of the industry trends. The focus is on expanding the position as a leading omnichannel retailer and the consistent use of digital technologies.

The appointment of the designated CEO had been speculated for some time. When the manager initially joined the group as a consultant in February, a possible management position was already in the room.

Before moving to the JC Switzerland Holding, Stefano Della Valle worked for the European branch of the Thai commercial group Central Group for six years, which includes the KaDeWe Group in Germany and the traditional London Selfridges London. First he took on the role of Chief Operating Officer before he was appointed CEO of Central Group Europe. Before that, Della Valle worked for almost twelve years as CFO at the Italian luxury department store Rinascent.

Cloppenburg’s excretion from the Board of Directors

As Board of Directors, Della Valle follows the sibling couple Patrick and Catharina Cloppenburg, who has previously held the leadership of the group as co-chair. Both and David Sidney Barst out from the Board of Directors on May 1st. This will no longer be part of the Cloppenburg family in the future.

In addition to the designated CEO della Valle from Ernst-Albrecht von Hake (Chief of Staff & Corporate Development), Laura Greimel (General Counsel), Cornelia Zeller (Chief Human Resource Officer) and Benjamin Buescher (Chief Operating Officer), the new board of directors is composed.
