On Friday evening, the 54-year-old victim and his wife left a cafe in Ingelmunster. Out of the blue, the thirties came to him and he stuck the man in his neck with a knife. According to the public prosecutor, the perpetrator was under the influence and has no link with the victim.
The 31-year-old perpetrator was overpowered almost immediately after the facts by bystanders and could be arrested by the police. The man was interviewed on Saturday and appeared for the investigating judge. He decided to keep the man for attempting murder. He appeared before the council chamber on Tuesday. He decided that the man will be arrested.
