A woman from Roosendaal received texts, letters, emails, photos and videos from her ex-lover for almost a year. To top it off, he sent her two stuffed condoms. The woman had a lot of problems with this Maciek L. (44) from Breda and reported.

The relationship went out in 2021 and almost three years later Maciek L. can explain to the judge what exactly happened and especially what was not. Because L. did not do much wrong, he believes. He was not happy that the relationship with his mistress had broken, but he mainly wanted to arrange and explain things.

Harass
The woman went to the police in the summer of 2022. He visited Maciek L and his wife with the assignment to stop harassing his ex-minner in Roosendaal. Maciek L. did not. He would continue to do it for more than a year.

It became a question answer in court, where the judges and the officer had many questions and where L. thought he had not been annoying. What did not help was that L. speaks Dutch, but with a good Polish accent.

Had he painted ‘sex club’ on her sidewalk with paint? Had he sent anonymous, threatening letters? Had he followed her and sent photos of where she was? Made her black with friends? And sent stuffed condoms? No, L. hadn’t done that.

He had sent emails and he still wanted to see money for a renovation at the woman’s home. And he sent her perfume once. He was sad and had told wife and children at home that he would leave. But he meant nothing with all the messages.

Gratitude or love
The woman was not at all going to start a relationship with Maciek, she told the police. She knew her countryman of volleyball, where Maciek L. was the coach of a Polish team. As a handyman, he started helping her with renovating when she moved from Breda to a better home in Roosendaal.

According to the woman, macic gratitude did not have to confuse with love. And she certainly did not want to be the reason that his wife’s macic started separating. According to the man they did have a relationship, including sex.

Anyway, the public prosecutor thinks the woman has had a long and a lot of problems with maciek. She therefore demands a 120-hour work sentence, two months in prison sentence and a contact ban with the ex-minner. For example, the macic L. must become clear that contact with the woman is really no longer appreciated.

L.’s lawyer asks the court to judge more milder than the officer’s requirement. He thinks a contact ban is fine. In the meantime, Maciek L. tries to restore the situation at home. His wife and daughters have suffered a lot. L. promises the judges that such a situation will not happen again.

The court will rule on 13 May.
