On the Eekhoutswijk near Smilde, two speed bumps have recently been removed, but not by the municipality. The municipality of Midden-Drenthe has filed a declaration.
The thresholds are placed to improve road safety on the rural road. The Eekhoutswijk connects the village of Smilde with the hair, along which the TT Circuit is located.
It is not clear who is responsible for removing the traffic obstacles and why it happened. “The municipality is discussing this with Buurtbelangen, neighborhood representatives and the police,” said the Municipality of Midden-Drenthe in a response.
