The semi-finals of the Champions League are now clear.

Villarreal and Chelsea secured their place in the top eight on Wednesday. The structure of the league had coincidentally been shaped in such a way that the real winners’ favorites got on as early as last week.

At least based on Tuesday and Wednesday, this week’s winners can’t be promised a long future in the race.

Even the reigning European champion Chelsea was in trouble. It had won its home game against Lille 2-0, but the game went awry with Stade Pierre-Mauroy when Jorginho paws the ball in the penalty area.

Turkish star of Lille Burak Yilmaz was not nervous about the organized harassment of the Chelsea players, but bombed a completely unstoppable spot into the top panel.

Burak, 36, was also the third oldest scorer in Champions League history in the playoffs. His remains on the legendary list are no more Ryan Giggs and Paolo Maldini.

However, the home team’s flight was cut short because at the very end of the opening season Jorginho knocked out his internal quarterback by sending a full touchdown Christian Pulisicille. The Yankee leveled the match with an accurate draw right at the base of the pole.

In the second episode, the skipper César Azpilicueta continued on his knees Mason Mountin focus on the finish. Chelsea’s sluggish 2–1 away win made it to the final with a combined result of 4–1, but its performance was quite effortless and fussy. It’s hard to spare the suspicion that the club’s chaotic state will also affect field play.

Juve to the choir

The biggest surprise of the quarterfinals is Villarreal. The pride of the orange region struggles well above its own weight class, but nonetheless, it overthrew Juventus in Turin 3–0.

This is the third time in a row that the Old Lady has crashed in this same quarterfinal stage. This time the sky started dripping on his neck a quarter before the end when Francis Coquelin was poured into the penalty area.

Substitute Gerard Moreno took the spot from the guests to the lead, and the topper Pau Torres 85 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a 2-0 lead.

Arnaut Danjuma finished the final numbers with extra time given by the referee. At the same time, the Dutchman seems to be sealing Max Allegrin stint in the rudder of Juventus. The 54-year-old super coach was lured back to the bench for this season, but the experiment is likely to last for one season.

Villarreal’s overall goal victory was recorded at 4-1.

In the end, three English and three Spanish clubs survived the semi-finals, in addition to one Portuguese and one German.

– Spain is the strongest along with the Premier League. The fact that we are all in the future is a great pride for La Liga, Moreno rejoiced.

– This team always fights in big matches. We are now in the top eight and want to continue making history.
