A major fire broke out in an apartment complex on Offenbachlaan in Eindhoven on Sunday evening. It started on a balcony and quickly switched to other apartments. Six houses are blackened.
The fire brigade pulled out with two extinguishers to the site of the fire. It started on a balcony on the first floor, but soon spread to the house. The residents were not at home at that time.
The flames spread to the apartment of the neighbors and the upstairs neighbors. They could bring themselves to safety on time.

Two cats on oxygen
No people were injured. The fire brigade did, however, remove several pets from the burning flat. Two cats were less good for it. Both animals were given oxygen in an ambulance. The cats were eventually brought to an animal clinic.
At least six apartments have been damaged and its residents cannot return home for the time being. They are taken care of elsewhere. The Salvage Foundation will help the residents handle the damage.
