After The Smiths a solo artist
With The Smiths, the Briton became famous in the 80s, after which he made music as a solo artist. But there are some exceptions, such as his collaboration with The Healers: in 2003 they published the album “Boomslang”. The musician also worked with other musicians: inside like the Pet Shop Boys with “Release” (2002) and Jane Birkin with “Fictions” (2006), but never again with Morrissey. Even if offers were made again and again to the former The Smiths members when The Smiths appeared, they consistently rejected them.
Instead, the guitarist had founded a new band called Electronic with Bernard Sumner by Joy Division and New Order. Perhaps there will be a surprise appearance on his tour with his bandmate and you will perform your songs “Getting away with it” and “Get the Message” together.
