On Thursday afternoon, Olli Jokinen drew hard news. The man leaves his work as head coach of the Swedish club Timrå.
The first thing was reported by the tabloid Aftonbladet.
OJ coached the team for one season. Before that, the NHL Konkari coached Mikkeli Jukurs for three seasons.
It is clear that 46-year-old Jokinen has a new job ready. On the empty, the man does not remain.
There are a few potential jobs for Jokinen.
HIFK is the first. On Wednesday, the club’s board held its own meeting, where there were big things on the table. Such may also have been a change of coaching. HIFK is a potential alternative to Jokinen’s new employer.
That would be a tough bet on the stadium. Jokinen, a former HIFK player, would be a team-like head coach.
Ville Peltonen has an agreement with HIFK and the club has not yet announced that it is dismantled.
According to Iltalehti, the HIFK Board of Directors went through other very important issues at the meeting. Rumors The position of CEO Alexander Sneen can also be at stake.
TPS is also seeking a new head coach and a boost. The OJ would be perfect for that package. Perhaps Jokinen, however, will remain inside Ring Road 3.
Jokinen’s coaching capabilities are also in demand in Switzerland, where at least The Grand Club ZSC Lions, who will be the finals, is looking for a new head coach for next season. Jokinen’s name is on the list.
Jokinen has announced his goal of coaching in the NHL, where he played 1231 regular season matches. NHL head coaches are open, but maybe it’s not time for Olli.
Of course, Jokinen is the most potential Finnish head coach in the Taala League.
Assistant coaches in the world’s toughest hockey league are usually filled a little later.
