Men kidnap wife and child from football professionals

In December, the former football professional Pedro Perlaza was kidnapped in Ecuador. Now Jackson Rodriguez should hit it.
Ecuador has had problems with violent and crime cases for several years. Now football professional Jackson Rodriguez was the victim of a crime. According to local media reports, the 26-year-old left-back is said to have been broken down on Wednesday morning. The professional of the Ecuadorian first division club CS Emelec was at home at the time – just like his wife and daughter.
In the middle of the night, armed men are said to have broken into the Rodriguez ‘house north of the city of Guayaquil. Rodriguez therefore hid under the bed because he expected to be kidnapped. The criminals then apparently took the player’s wife and daughter and kidnapped them.
The perpetrators then fled in a lead-colored pick-up. Rodriguez, who had observed the action from his hiding place, immediately alerted the police. Police chief Edison Rodríguez told the local media that the perpetrators had probably searched for the footballer.
The chief of police confirmed that neither valuables nor electrical appliances have disappeared from the apartment. A special unit of the police has now taken over the investigation. However, it is not yet known how many perpetrators were involved in the kidnapping.
