There will still be a restart of the bankrupt agricultural mechanization company Groenoord on the locations and Smilde. The branches in both places are taken over by mechanization company Kraakman.
Kraakman, dealer of John Deere, takes over a total of nine branches of Groenoord in the Northeast Netherlands. In Dalen it concerns two locations, in Smilde one. The new owner wants to open the branches again in the short term.
Curator Frank Omta speaks of an important step. “This acquisition provides a solid foundation for the future of the company and employment.” In total, Kraakman offers 130 former employees of Groenoord an employment contract.
Groenoord was declared bankrupt in February. A complete restart turned out not to be feasible.
