He is small and compact, looks like a police car and has been a carnival artist for years: Lamme Frans’s Fiat Panda. Last Saturday the car was auctioned for 2300 euros and now the new owner has put it for sale again: “For De Gein, to see what it yields.” And that while Hein Markus from Olland had the wildest plans with his recently purchased acquisition.
Lamme Frans’s police car, who in the clip of his song ‘ The police‘From 2024 was shown, was auctioned for charity during a show on Paaspop. During the auction, Hein raised his hand several times and in the end there was no one so crazy to overbid him. That is why he had to pick up the car on Monday, the day after the festival.
“We drove another round about the site, that was already a lot of sensation,” says Hein. “Then I put it in the meadow at home. When I came back from work in the evening, people were taking pictures. So he attracts many viewers.”
Does Hein regret his purchase or did the amount of beer play a role in his bids in the party tent? “No, I had only drunk three or four cans. I remember everything,” he claims laughing. “The boys behind us went to 2200 euros and I couldn’t resist it. It started as a joke, but in the end he had to go home with me.”
Hein told a reporter from Omroep Brabant in all euphoria on Saturday evening that he wanted to participate in the Zwarte Cross by car and the 24-hour Solex race in Heeswijk-Dinther, but he is now coming back to that. “If you are interviewed, you have to say something, isn’t it. And we don’t have tickets to participate in the Zwarte Cross. But if the car has not yet been sold in August, I want to participate in the Solex race.”
One major disadvantage of the counterfeit police car: it has been rejected and is not allowed on the road with the blue flashing lights. But Hein still sees opportunities. “We try to get it again inspected. That must be possible.” For those who want to make a bid: the car is for sale for 2300 euros, the amount that Hein paid for it last Saturday.
