Bryne FK is primarily known as a youth club of football superstar Erling Haaland. Now the club always makes headlines with unusual gifts.
The Norwegian club Bryne FK again caused a stir with an unusual gift for one of his players. After the team’s 3-1 victory on Monday against Haugesund, Axel Kryger was elected Bryne player-and received a living lamb from his club.
The gift is the continuation of a series of unusual gifts that the club distributes to its best players. The club had already given away a dead pig to one of its players in mid -April. At the end of March, goalkeeper Jan de Boer received four packs of eggs for a strong performance.
The background to the unusual gifts: Bryne FK is closely linked to local agriculture. Meat and milk production shape the region and the association also lives this roots in everyday football.
