FC Bayern is still waiting for Manuel Neuer to return. The injured goalkeeper obviously is making progress.

While most Bayern professionals treated themselves to a break on the Free Easter Monday, Manuel Neuer aged on his comeback after his muscle fiber tear. Together with the dayot upamecano and replacement goalkeeper Daniel Peretz, which was currently injured on the knee, the 39-year-old completed an individual unit on the club area on Säbener Strasse.

The Bayern captain takes another step towards return to the square. At the beginning of March, Neuer suffered the injury in the right calf in the round of 16 of the Champions League against Bayer Leverkusen (3-0). As a result, he had to pause the training because the calf showed a reaction. Since the victory against Leverkusen, Jonas Urbig’s 21-year-old has been on a new winter access.

Trainer Vincent Kompany recently avoided concrete statements about the return of his gate. After the clear 4-0 away win on Saturday at 1st FC Heidenheim, he granted his team for two days off. Four game days before the end of the season, FC Bayern leads the Bundesliga with eight points ahead of defending champion Leverkusen.
