As Saint -Étienne won the derby against Olympique Lyon in French Ligue 1 – but the determining topic was then different.

Lucas Stassin scored both goals for Saint-Étienne (10th minute, 67th) at 2-1 (1-0), for Lyon the connection goal of Tanner Tessmann came too late.

For Lyon it was a setback in the race for a European Cup place, for Saint-Étienne it was a very important victory in the relegation battle. The club continues to take a direct descent rank, but is tied with Le Havre on the relegation rank.

Line judge Rahmouni remained unharmed
