Known as a presenter and journalist, Tommi Manninen was about to start his wedding weekend last summer when he received a surprising contact.
-My manager had received a message in my email where a woman introduced herself as an Australian TV producer.
Soon, Manninen found out to be asked to be asked Australian survivors program.
At first, Manninen did not believe the message was true.
– I was sure this was a scam. My first message to my manager was that this bot is, Manninen recalls.
Things progressed quickly because production wanted to talk to Manninen during the same day.
– I went to the meeting and the next day we danced our wedding. The very next week I was informed that I was going to race.
Manninen has been a fan of the program since childhood. He was seen in Finland In survivors In 2022. At that time, the radio presenter was second in the final vote when ex-hockey player Sami Helenius won.

In a fierce company
Manninen will compete in the future Survivors: Australia vs World season. The exact release date of the series has not yet been announced.
Manninen is the only competitor who represents Europe. The other members of his team are from the United States, South Africa, Canada and New Zealand.
Manninen encountered a few familiar faces in the race. Namely, the program participated in the program Parvati Shallow, Tony Vlachos mixed Cirie Fieldswho have competed in US survivors.
The radio presenter says he was physically good before the program descriptions. In recent years, he has been practicing marathon and triathlon.
– In principle, I was training cycling, running and swimming. I said everyone was practicing triathlon, even though I actually worked out for the shooting.

Manninen also became familiar with the Australian survivors by looking at previous production seasons. He noticed the big differences in Finnish and Australian production.
– Australia goes more through durability, as the season can take up to 50 days.
Manninen says that competitors may still go to the tribal council to reflect on the gaming movements.
– Australia is played more frequently than immunity amulets. Whenever one amulet is played, the other will be replaced. They will not be pledged.
