Young AZ helped Telstar a hand in the battle for the play-offs for promotion to the Eredivisie. The Velsenaren themselves were 0-4 too strong for FC Eindhoven, while the Alkmaarders promise team won well against FC Emmen: 1-4. Pascal Mulder contributed to the defeat of Emmen with a rather clumsy own goal.
