Borussia Dortmund hopes for the return of Emre Can and Carney Chukwuemeka in the duel against the table neighbor Borussia Mönchengladbach.
“Both trained and were partially integrated. It was not too intense today, but they trained and I hope that they will be there again tomorrow,” said BVB coach Niko Kovac in front of the Borussen duel on Sunday (5:30 p.m./DAZN).
Chukwuemeka got a blow on the thigh in the league game at Bayern Munich and was spared in the Champions League second leg against FC Barcelona. Can had been complaining about muscular problems in the adductor area for a long time and was therefore missing. “Emre took part in a slight training today. That was certainly not a Bundesliga intensity. We will not take any risk there,” emphasized Kovac.
