A good question, says Verhoef. “Parts of the losing wall have been sinked, it has no zoning plan for industrial use and is often secretly used by parties other than Lent. Then you can feel free to ask yourself what that thing actually does there.” Despite countless auxiliary agrees, the municipality, the Water Board and Van Lent all point to each other, Verhoef explains to the members of the water board meeting.

Local residents have little faith in a sale of the Loswal to Van Lent, because the last piece of government control would disappear. “That is why we have formally reported as an interested buyer. The three of us are now, and such an object probably costs thousands of euros, but we are talking about it,” says Verhoef Standaad.

NH previously made this report about the concerns around the Loswal.
