The long Easter weekend and the start of the May holiday ensure an extra busy evening rush hour on Thursday and Friday, warns the ANWB. Because both commuting and holidaymakers go on the road, longer traffic jams are taken into account.
Especially on the roads in Brabant and the A2 and A27 from Utrecht to the south it is busy. Holidaymakers who travel abroad must also take into account delays. In Germany there is work on the road in more than a thousand places and there are also work in Austria.
The ANWB expects that it will be busy on the road on Thursday from four in the afternoon, but that is common. On Friday the striker will start from noon.
Busy week on the road
Earlier this week it was also very busy on the road, Tuesday was even the busiest striker of the year so far. At the peak there was then 1197 km of file. According to the ANWB, this is because there is a lot of commuting this week and there are many foreign tourists from Belgium and Germany on the road.
