A driver of a Fatbike was hit by a train at Alkmaar last night, but was then able to continue cycling. The collision happened around 11.10 pm at a railway crossing on the Noorderkade.
The driver immediately stopped the train. The emergency services were called, but could not find a victim. A police spokesperson said that witnesses had seen that the victim had indeed been in contact with the train. “But nobody knows where it is, so what happened wasn’t.” The police say that the victim is very welcome to tell what exactly happened.
