It was one of the formative appearances at the Coachella Festival last weekend: Benson Boone played “Bohemian Rhapsody” together with Queen guitarist Brian May. The audience was only irritated by the appearance of the rock veteran, but then enthusiastic. The surprise moment then went viral online.
But all of this is not quite as unexpected: Boone, 22 years old, is one of the shooting stars of the US songwriter scene. (Why, read in the May edition of the Rolling Stone!). His single “Beautiful Things” developed into a hit last year. It was even the most heard track 2024.
Now it is known that the singer will publish a new album on June 20 with “American Heart”. After “Sorry I’m here for someone else” there is now “Mystical Magical” to be heard (also the Boone played at Coachella).

Boone to the eerie success of “Beautiful Things”: “I think I’m slowly coming to a point where I just want people to know that there is more than just this song. I think I have already crossed this point a little. But of course I still love the piece. I am still proud of it. And I will play it for a while, so I hope that this feeling will start.”
According to the new songs, the new songs will have a “retro touch”. “A lot of it is very bruce Springsteen, Americana,” said the singer. Boone is already planned for some concerts and festivals, a tour for Germany has not yet been announced.
