Kim (24) uses new victim alarm against partner violence: “He wanted to kill me with a hammer. For the first time in years I feel safe again”

“It’s like a preservation gel that follows me.” Kim, a young mother of 24, is one of the six women who currently uses the new victim alarm against partner violence in Flanders. She is happy to take that – apart from the perpetrator – she is also followed. She tells HLN about the terrible abuse she underwent and how the alarm changed her life: “My ex was about to make me sidelined. I really feared for my life.”
