Melexis has been closing collaborations with Chinese companies for years, but now it goes one step further and wants to produce it on the spot. The Research and Development department remains in Europe. The new cooperation is not surprising, because the Asian market accounts for 60 percent of the total turnover of Melexis. The chips mainly go to the automotive sector, health care and robotics.
