Lukas Kwasniok will leave SC Paderborn in summer after four years. This was reported by the second division club on Tuesday evening. In both sides, in mutual agreement and great respect, as it is said, the separation had decided.
Kwasniok took over the SCP in the summer of 2021 and scored an average of 1.56 points in 140 games. Under the 43-year-old, the Paderborn seventh, sixth, seventh and currently they are again seventh. The gap to relegation place three is two points. “The SCP07 and all the people who belong to me have grown very dear to me in the past almost four years. The club gave me the opportunity to prove me for the first time in the 2nd Bundesliga and support me at any time. The full focus is now on the remaining five games in which we want to make our dream reality,” Kwasniok is cited.
Kwasniok has been associated with Bundesliga clubs for some time. He is considered a candidate at VfB Stuttgart, at TSG Hoffenheim and VfL Wolfsburg. FC Schalke 04 is also said to have been on him and last winter there was talk of an agreement with Hamburger SV, but the SCP denied the approval.
“Together we have achieved a lot in the past few years. The professional competence of Lukas and his great commitment contributed greatly to the positive results of the seasons. I am very pleased that we have achieved a mutual solution with mutual appreciation that gives everyone involved the necessary planning security,” commented managing director Benjamin Weber commented on the separation.
