Serious allegations of abuse were raised against Nick Carter. It is not the first time that the Backstreet Boy has to face such accusations.
The accusations in detail
According to “TMZ”, the lawsuit comes from a woman named Laura Penly. This accuses the singer of having sexually misused them several times. She allegedly met Carter in 2004 when she was 19 years old. According to their explanations, the two would have met in the singer’s apartment for weeks in order to “hang out and have sex”. Carter is said to have refused to use a condom. Penly continues to claim in her application that the now 45-year-old is said to have raped her twice.
As a result, Penly was supposedly infected with venereal diseases, including chlamydia, gonorrhea and HPV. And the latter would have developed into her cervical cancer. Due to the diseases and the supposed sexual abuse, she allegedly had to undergo cancer treatment and surgery and would suffer from other “physical tormentation, medical problems, intimacy problems and other trauma”, according to the information that “TMZ” is available. Hence the lawsuit about “sexual coercion and intentional inflow of mental suffering and negligent inflammation of mental suffering” with the demand for damages.
Lawyers talk about “gang of conspirators”
Carter’s lawyers Liane K. Wakayama and Dale Hayes Jr. told “TMZ” in this regard: “This is only the same nonsense from the gang of conspirators and their lawyers who continue to abuse the judicial system to try to ruin Nick Carter.” According to them, the singer had not ever met the applicant or had sexual contact with her. His team also claims that “she has a documented story of financial and legal problems, has registered bankruptcy and was sued for fraud”.
A number of allegations
Nick Carter also has a documented story of allegations of sexual abuse. The current lawsuit is the fourth allegation of sexual abuse against the singer. In 2003 he supposedly misused a 15-year-old under the influence of alcohol on board a yacht and in a bus. According to a lawsuit, he was said to have misused a 17-year-old girl in 2001. In addition, Melissa Schumann, a former member of the Girlgroup Dream, accuses Carter of raping her in 2003 at the age of 18. In two cases, the musician reacted with a counter -complaint for defamation and demanded 2.3 million euros.
