A questionable tool has been made to combat homicide in Britain. In the ongoing project, the algorithm would identify the persons who may become killers in the future.

If that sounds like a risky idea and even a dangerous idea, it is not alone.

The idea has been compared with the media and social media, including the Minority Report movie. In the film, criminals can be grabbed even before they commit a crime that the authorities predict they are committing.

The first news about the project was The Guardian. According to it, the project was revealed when the Statewatch, which defends the civic freedom, was heard by means of requests for information.

The Guardian says that according to Statewatch, the project would also use data to anticipate killers about people who have never committed crimes. However, the authorities deny the vagina.

This data would cover information about people’s suicide, mental health, substance abuse and disability.

The Register According to the project started Rishi Sunakin During the Prime Minister in January 2023.

The project was expected to end in December 2024, when the data used in it would have been destroyed and the results were presented. According to The Register, at least data has been used by The Register, which has been collected by the police departments of the London and Manchester cities.

Statewatch representative Sofia Lyall writethat the project is “chilling and dystopic”. Used data also leads to bias against minorities and low -income earners.

“The Ministry of Justice must immediately suspend the development of this murdering tool,” Lyall writes.
