This Monday, the police were busy at the end of the afternoon with a truck on the extended Huizingalaan in Son. According to a police spokesperson, the vehicle would be loaded with ‘an unknown amount of suspected drugs’. There were various police cars around the truck. At least ten police cars when the truck was taken away. Even the people from the hoist company had to wear bullet -proof vests.
Agents were called after someone had reported a suspicious situation. After a large search in the area, the driver of the truck was not found. The police spokesperson could not confirm that agents were looking for the driver.
The packages of drugs found in the truck were among another load, the content of which is not known.
The police took into account that criminals would come back in connection with the value of the narcotic middle. That is why the truck was guarded by a special police team until the vehicle could be towed away from agents. This eventually happened at the start of the evening under the supervision of at least ten police cars.
