Ritchie Blackmore is not only one of the most influential, but also one of the most idiosyncratic guitarists in rock history.
With Deep Purple and Rainbow, he wrote music history, created one of the best -known guitar reef with “Smoke on the Water”. It is still an eternal idol for neoclassic virtuosos. He later turned to the sounds of the Middle Ages – together with his partner Candice Night – with the common band Blackmore’s Night, he is still active today. For Ritchie Blackmore’s 80th birthday, we take a look at the best pictures of his career.
