With your bike, scooter or skates through bends, over hills and along other obstacles. Young people from Dwingeloo wanted a pump track track in the municipality, but finding a permanent place turned out to be difficult. Now there is a solution: a mobile pump track track.

“Normally a pump track track is a asphalted course that you can use with everything that can roll, whether with the bike, skating or wheelchair is,” explains youth worker Tom Kistjes. In Dwingeloo the obstacles are placed on a lawn.

Conversations with the youth showed that a Pumptrackbaan was missed in Westenveld. “We had to come up with something that was widely applicable, this mobile job is working well with the young people in the municipality,” says Kistjes.

The schools that are around it also benefit, so they are going to give sports lessons during the gym lessons. The course will be on the event site in Dwingeloo in the coming period and will be moved in the municipality every 2 months.

The course has been there for two weeks now and was officially opened this afternoon by alderman Alfred Schoenmaker, who himself got on the bike. A professional pump tracker taught children. According to boxes, the track is already used well. “There are boys and girls who immediately come from school here.”
