This morning the fire brigade removed a skipper from his boat on the Zuidlaardermeer. According to a spokesperson for the Safety Region Drenthe, the man has floated on the lake since yesterday, he could not sail further because the gas was finished.
Today the help of the fire brigade was called in. The Corps from Assen went onto Zuidlaardermeer with a boat from the fire brigade and took the skipper off board and brought him ashore. The skipper was a bit cool and was checked in an ambulance, but did not have to go to the hospital.
According to the Drenthe Safety Region, the boat is still on the lake and the owner will take measures to get it to the side.
