Postbote “Ruined” marriage proposal from Sportstar

He wanted to surprise his girlfriend with a marriage proposal. However, this did not succeed as planned – and brought a postman in turmoil.
The Norwegian middle and long-distance runner Narve Gilje Nordås wanted to make a marriage proposal to his girlfriend Oda Andersen Lundeby. As in the picture book, he wanted to surprise her – but it turned out differently. When Nordå’s at home was surprised by a doping control and could therefore not go to the door when the doorbell rang, Lundeby opened.
The problem: the postman brought a package of a jewelry manufacturer. In this was the engagement ring. Lundeby told the Norwegian public service broadcasting NRK: “The postman was completely angry because I shouldn’t get it. He said he ruined everything.”
When Nordås found that his girlfriend was able to read the sender of the package, according to Lundeby, he only said “no, no, no”. Nordås said NRK: “I was sitting in a doping control and asked Oda to pick up the package and thought nothing.
He then hid the ring for two days and then stopped at home in December of last year to stop his girlfriend’s hand. How? She raved: “It was very cozy. He put on beautiful music and said a few nice words, then knelt down.” The wedding should take place in autumn of this year.
