Dieter Hecking was visibly angry. “I am very annoyed about the behavior because he would have been good today. But team sport is over everything,” said VfL Bochum coach about Myron Boadu.
Bochum’s best scorer was not in the squad at 1-2 against FC Augsburg – for disciplinary reasons. “We are not in the situation that some unpack the ego here,” said Hecking.
The 60-year-old did not reveal exactly what had happened. In the final training session of the penultimate on Friday, Boadu “showed a behavior that I didn’t like,” said Hecking. The cadre exclusion was only for a game. Hecking hopes to be able to build on the center forward after the “memo” in the coming game at Werder Bremen.
