SV Elversberg dreams of promotion to the Bundesliga. Hannover 96 can slowly but surely bury it. Magdeburg also failed.

A 3: 1 away win (0: 1) at Hannover 96 makes SV Elversberg dream of the Bundesliga. The Saarlanders jump in third place in the table after the success of the Lower Saxony. Hannover remains in eighth place and now has four points behind the ride.

Phil Neumann initially brought the home team in the lead on 129th club birthday (12th minute). In the second round, however, the guests turned the game through a flawless hat trick by Fisnik Asllani (55., 78., 90.+8).

At the same time, the 1. FC Magdeburg also failed. The team of coach Christian Titz surprisingly lost 0-1 (0: 1) at Kellerkind Ulm. Goal scorer Semir Telalović scored for the “Spatzen” (17th).

Hertha BSC and Darmstadt 98 meanwhile separated with a 1-1 draw (0-0). Isac Lidberg shocked the capital club shortly after the break (48th). The equalization fell after a little more than an hour through an own goal of Aleksandar Vukotić (62nd).

Both teams had a game at a high level of second division. In the first half, Hannover 96 was mostly tone. Especially after the leadership of Neumann, the hosts came into play better and better. The Elversberger, however, kept with a duel strength, but rarely brought themselves into promising final positions.

After the break, the picture changed completely. The Elversberger came out of the cabin with swing, the hosts pushed in half in phases. Asllani completed a strong pass from Elias Baum to equalize. From Hannover 96 there was hardly anything to be seen on the offensive. Again it was Asllani who made the turn with his 16th seasonor.

Sad high point of the game: In added time, Jessic Ngankam injured himself in a duel with Elversberg’s Paul Stock and had to be brought off the field on the stretcher. Asllani’s third hit after was worth seeing, but in view of the Ngankam pechs moved into the background.

The hosts started very confidently against the best away team of the 2nd league. The protégés of coach Robert Lechleiter immediately set up pressure. And after a little more than a quarter of an hour, the Swabians were rewarded. The Telalović returned to the starting eleven used Aaron Keller’s good preparatory work with his tenth goal of the season to 1-0.

FCM coach Titz reacted early and brought Connor Krempicki for Abu-Bekir el-Zein in the 29th minute to get more control in midfield. The guests became a bit more active, but there were no clear opportunities.

At the beginning of the second half, the game had to be briefly interrupted because the Magdeburg fans burned in their curve pyrotechnics. Not much happened in the field. The SSV brought the acclaimed fifth win of the season over time.

The attentive and also motivated Berliners lacked force and depth in the game in front of the opposing goal. After the tour of Lidberg, who used a slap from Hertha keeper Tjark Ernst in the dust manner, the Berliners fought against the impending defeat-with success. Although an own goal had to serve.

After that, the Berliners pushed for the winning goal, but he should no longer succeed. At the best opportunity in added time, captain Toni Leistner hit the post.
