RAG & Bone opens up a new business area with watches.
As part of a new five-year license agreement with Sequel, the New York brand will develop a line of premium watches under the supervision of its parent companies Guess and WHP Global.
Sequel, a subsidiary of Timex Group, has been a long-time license partner of Guess since 1984 and works with the US brand on its watch line. This latest agreement is therefore expanding its relationship and expanding the offer by RAG & Bone, a brand that Guess partially acquired in February 2024.
Since then, GUESS and WHP have built partnerships with various companies in order to further expand the range of RAG & Bone both globally and across product categories. In addition to expansions in Germany and Australia, the duo has also closed a license agreement with Signal Brands for RAG & Bone Accessories.
The start of the first collection for autumn 2025 is planned for watches. Sales are carried out via department stores, specialist shops and RAG & Bone Boutiques. Brett Gibson, Chief Commercial Officer von Sequel, said about this debutline that the collection “will build on authenticity, quality and craftsmanship, which RAG & Bone will distinguish, and combine its iconic aesthetics with our decades of watchmaker expertise”.
