A garage of a semi-detached house in Coevorden was lit at the beginning of the afternoon. The fire was flaring, but did not spread to the living area.
All residents were removed from the home during the fire, reports the Drenthe Safety Region. According to a bystander, there was also a car in the garage, but it could still be moved on time.
How the fire could arise is not clear.
