Prime Minister Schoof will visit Japan on April 21 and April 22, 2025. The visit is dominated by the strengthening of the relationship between the Netherlands and Japan and offers space for a further deepening of cooperation in several areas.

The visit starts on Monday, April 21 in Tokyo, where Prime Minister Schoof is received by Prime Minister Ishiba. After the greeting, a bilateral conversation starts between Prime Minister Schoof and Prime Minister ISHIBA. Topics of discussion are the war in Ukraine, Safety in East Asia, the international legal order and cooperation on trade, innovation and culture. In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will visit the Keio Universitywhere he talks to students. The day ends with a dinner with CEOs from the business world.

On the second day of the visit, Tuesday April 22, Prime Minister Schoof will visit Hokkaido and the Expo 2025 in Osaka, where he opens the Dutch pavilion. He also visits it Osaka Healthcare Pavilion.
