Borussia Dortmund was surprisingly duel and sloppy in the passports in Barcelona. But decisive: the deficits in the external positions.
Ramy Bensebaini will probably not forget this evening at the legendary Olympicberg Montjuic in Barcelona. The Algerian defensive player of BVB would have every reason to immediately delete the 0: 4 debacle at FC Barcelona. The 29-year-old had been dealing with Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal on his left wing. And that made his Dortmund counterpart in the truest sense of the word over 90 minutes old.
It was just six minutes played in the Olympic Stadium, when Yamal had already played two knots for the Algerian international. In a confined space, the 17-year-old had elegantly wound around Bensebaini twice with his brilliant technology. In his first attempt, Yamal failed with his degree to keeper Gregor Kobel (5th minute), a minute later he had danced Bensebaini again, but put the ball from an acute angle past the long corner.
Yamal show as a nightmare for Bensebaini
It was just the start of a real Yamal show that evening. That the youngster crowned late with its own goal. A quarter of an hour before the end, he skillfully accepted a Raphinha anti -game and shot dry into the left corner to 4: 0 – the gravel of the approaching Bensebaini went into nowhere.
Lamine Yamal – it was the outstanding player that evening. In Dortmund, they actually expected the even greater danger on the other: from there the Brazilian Raphinha, who found enormous self -confidence under Hansi Flick and scored goals in a row.
Raphinha – far too quickly for Rerson
Dortmund’s Julian Rerson was dealing with him. It was stronger and more concentrated in the floor two than its BVB colleague on the other. The Norwegian was not really up to his arrow -fast opponents either. Ryerson was overflowed again and again – admittedly, especially when his front people played one of the far too many sloppy bad passes in their own development. And then Ryerson was alone.
To the large extent on Ryserson’s account, however, the quick hit went to 0: 2 right after the change of sides. At Yamal’s flank on the second post, he had lost sight of Raphinha – and he was allowed to prepare Robert Lewandowski’s header completely free -standing.
Flicks enormous Talent reservoir
In the end, it is exactly the differences in quality that reveal the obvious class difference between FC Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund on such an evening. Hansi Flick can choose from a whole handful of talented young players.
In addition to Yamal and Raphinha, the “Blaugrana” against BVB Pedri (24), Frenkie de Jong (27) and Fermin Lopez (23) conjured up in the middle of the “Blaugrana”. The 20-year-old Gavi was substituted as well as national player Ferran Torrres (25) and Ansu Fati (22). No other club in the world currently has a group with such an offensive skills. The BVB not anyway.
“We have to do better”
“We have not consistently defended”coach Niko Kovac stealed after the game at “DAZN”. “We have to do that better on Saturday at Bayern. Otherwise we will also get problems there”he believes. The good news of his players is: FC Bayern also does not have the same players as they can currently send FC Barcelona to the field.
