After seven winless league games, Borussia Dortmund II collected important points in the relegation battle in the NRW duel at SC Verl.
The BVB prevailed on Wednesday evening through a goal by Julian Hettwer (60th) with 1-0 (0: 0) and climbed to 14th place in the table. The lead over the first relegation area is three points. Verl missed to move closer to the promotion places and, as the seventh, also has six points behind the relegation rank three.
Few chances of scoring one in halftime one
After seven minutes, Dortmund belonged to the first good opportunity when Verls keeper Philipp Schulze steered a shot from Michael Eberwein from a half -right position over the crossbar. On the other hand, Verls Lars Lokotsch (10th) missed a flat cross from Berkan Taz in the middle after a flat cross. In the final spahse, Verl pressed the equalization, Dortmund could hardly keep the ball against the aggressive hosts in his own ranks. However, the East Westphalia no longer scored a hit.
Verl travels to Rostock
On Saturday (2 p.m.) Verl will be at Hansa Rostock, Dortmund II welcomes Energie Cottbus on Sunday (4.30 p.m.).
