The municipality does not officially support the project, but allows it. “We have no regulations about renting out,” says Mayor Wim Janssens. “That is why we give this pilot project a chance.”
De Panne has more than 400 cabins, of which almost half of private individuals. The project must show whether the system is also possible in other coastal municipalities.
