At the end of March, the 53-year-old street saleswoman Teresa González Murillo was attacked late at night in her house in Guadalajara. Three men tried to kidnap her. When she fiercely resisted, the robbers shot her in her face and left. A week later she died of the effects of her injuries in a hospital in the capital of the state of Guadalajara.
