A driver under the influence fleeed on Monday morning for the police in Breda. The man left his vehicle on the Franklin Rooseveltlaan. He ran into the neighborhood, climbed fences through different gardens and even clambered through a ditch. Because of the wet footsteps he left, the police managed to find him.
The police saw a vehicle standing still in the middle of the intersection without anyone in it or stood by. They found that striking. They soon saw the suspected owner of the vehicle running away. During his flight he got a wet suit in a ditch.
Because of his wet footsteps on the floor and attentive bystanders in the area, the police could eventually find the man somewhere in a garden on the Otterring. “The man turned out to have had a violent hand about climbing the fences,” write the district agents of Breda on Instagram.
The fleeing driver also turned out to be under the influence of various drugs. Because of his injuries, the ambulance took him to the hospital. “His vehicle has been secured and sir will receive the necessary official reports,” the police conclude.
