In July, Teemu Laurell will receive his firstborn together with Mirella Merivirta.
In September last year, celebrity chef Teemu Laurell and Mirella Merivirta, the organizer of the mission competition, told about her relationship. In February, the couple had more joy news to tell, as the family will have a child in July.
CookTeemu Laurell, who stars the program, is amazed at the big changes in life.
– There have been quite a few positive things in recent years. Restaurants have been to me before, so it’s nice to get the right offspring soon, Laurell laughs at Iltalehti in the program.
– This has been a very exciting journey, though of course my spouse knows the child better and lives even closer to this situation. Perhaps in July, after the birth of the child, everything will become more concrete, he continues.

Laurell is looking forward to future fatherhood. He hopes to be the best father for his future child. 40-year-old Laurell believes that now is just the time to become a father.
– I believe it is a good thing I will become a father at this point, it is enough for me. If I had done this at the age of 27, I would hardly be so good. I might have shared that over -generation trauma, but now I have been able to cut it myself, he opens.
– I have gone through myself and my affairs and have taken care of my own things in the background. I can give a good starting point for the child, Laurell describes.
Laurell says that Mirella’s spouse is doing well. A future family member will also grow and develop as desired.
– It goes really well now, even though the start was a bit difficult. There was malaise and more, but since then it has gone well. We have to be grateful that everything has gone so well and there has been nothing bigger.

The relationship between Teemu and Mirella has progressed rapidly. The couple went on a date in June 2024 and over a year later they will become a family.
Teemu says that rapid changes caused headaches, especially for housing patterns.
– The roommates had to be resolved at a rapid pace. My roommate was in line renovation, so we were in a small temporary apartment. Perhaps, however, this came to the man quite naturally that I was living this life change through housing issues, Laurell describes, laughing.
So the future little one will be born in July. Laurell asserts that the child will be seen at least in some way in cooking.
“Quite quickly you will have to grab the bucket, so she will probably be seen in the kitchen,” Laurell laughs at the end.
