Francesco Farioli expects Youri Regeer back to Ajax quickly. “He trains with us again,” he said after victory over NAC Breda (3-1). “I think he can go to Willem II next Sunday.”
Farioli let Wout Weghorst make his return to NAC as a substitute, after almost two months of injuries. Anton Gaaei and Brian Brobbey were suspended for the duel with NAC, but can also be used against Willem II.
The return of the injured Remko Pasveer and Youri Baas will take longer. “I think they are there again at the end of April,” said Farioli, who did not let Jordan Henderson play NAC. “He wasn’t completely fit last week. Then I don’t take any risk with him.”
