The police shot a car after a chase from Erp to Gemert. One person was shot in his shoulder. Agents first fired a warning shot, but then shot in a targeted manner.
The pursuant car eventually struck itself against a concrete block on the Pandelaar in Gemert. Both people in the car were taken to the hospital. A trauma helicopter has also landed.
Why the occupants were being chased is not yet known. The police and the forensic team are investigating. The National Criminal Investigation Department is also there. That is protocol if an agent was shot.
